CITS stands for Craft Instructor Training Scheme.
Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) courses are offered by Central Institutes under the Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
In CITS Course both the skills and training methodology is imparted to those interested in becoming Instructors/ trainers in vocational training institutes.
After completion of the CITS course candidate shall be awarded Craft Instructor Training Certificate by NCVT recognized by Government of India and this certificate is valid for only 05 years, after 05 years it will be renew.
Craft Instructor Training courses admission is done through the All India Common Entrance Test (AICET). This test is Online Computer based, conducted by Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Duration of test is 2 Hrs, and paper will be objective type questions in which 75% related to the trade applied and 25% questions pertaining to Non- Tech like Aptitude - Logical, Numeric and Reasoning.
Educational Qualification:-
National Trade Certificate /National Apprenticeship Certificate, ITI, Diploma and Degree from recognized Board of Technical Education/University/Institution or equivalent.
Age Limitation:- No upper age limit.
